Mary J. McKay
Mary McKay is perhaps best known for her out-of-the-box strategies and long-term relationships with corporations and individuals she has worked with over the past 30 years.
As Director of Business Development for Advantage Marketing Group (AMG), Mary had the opportunity to work with many athletes, such as Emmitt Smith, of the Dallas Cowboys, Barry Sanders, Barry Bonds, Rolando Blackman and Michelle Snow, managing their endorsements, appearances, licensing agreements, charity events and engagements. Prior to AMG, Mary worked for Zig Ziglar Corporation as Director of Worldwide Sales. There, she was responsible for managing Zig’s appearances, endorsements and affiliations, creating a corporate training and licensing division. Mary also worked with the Peter Lowe Group and the Success Seminars, bringing celebrities such as First Lady Barbara Bush, General Swartzskopf, Colin Powell, Larry King and Tom Peters to local seminars. Within three years, the new division was competing with most of the top training organizations worldwide.
As senior manager of store operations for Sears in Kansas City, Missouri, Mary was responsible for turning unprofitable stores into profit centers. Her solution was listening, training and empowering the employees, creating a team of successful people who were dedicated to success. She consistently ranked in the top 10 managers in the United States. During her 20 years with Sears, she was manager of Retail Stores, Central Service Center, Retail Distribution Center, Credit Catalog and Customer Service Center and Brand Central.
Mary has served on many Boards for women and children’s programs both in Dallas and Kansas City. Mary is passionate about helping people and giving them not just hope, but a direction for change. Mary has one son, Jason McKay, a daughter in-law, Melissa McKay and a grandson, Jaycob McKay who also reside in Dallas, Texas.
